Can Same Sex Unions Become Marriages? Discover The Truth.
As I pen this particular article, it is born out of a great deal of pain from what our societies have degraded themselves to. No longer do we call a spade a spade. We have taken what is right and made it seem so wrong, and taken what is so very wrong and sinful and are passing laws to protect and to ratify them.
It is not my intention to offend, belittle or marginalize any groups or individuals, but rather, it is my sincerest prayer that someone reading this will come to fully experience the fullness of life that Jesus Christ came to give; and that someone be set free from the chains of lies and immorality, for it is the truth that will set us all free.
What Does The Catholic Church Teach About Marriage?
The Catholic Church teaches that sex is meant to be the act of love between a man and a woman who are married to each other. Any distortion or augmentation of this is going against God’s plan for sex and will result – in fact, it has resulted in trouble. Marriage was given to the human race for procreation, and procreation takes place between a man and a woman. Therefore, there can be no such thing as same sex marriage – no matter what laws are passed. Now, it must be clearly understood who God is (CREATOR), and who man is (creature). Likewise, it must be clearly understood that the laws of GOD are infinitely superior to the laws of man! That being said, the Word of God is quite clear. In the book of Genesis, we are told that God made us male and female (Genesis 5:2). This is the basic truth about humanity and is echoed in Mark 10:6 and Matthew 19:4. And then Jesus said, “But from the beginning of creation he made them male and female. This is why a man leaves his father and mother, and the two become one flesh. They are no longer two, therefore, but one flesh.” (Mark 10: 6 – 8).

He defined it. It is God who in the sacrament of marriage, joins the two (man and woman) together as one. God has given us marriage as something to unite one man to one woman. One man cannot “marry” another man, nor can one woman “marry” another woman, no matter how “legal” it may be or what human laws have been passed. This is because the two cannot become one. For the two to become one, there has to be a life-giving bridegroom and a life receiving bride. Please allow me to say that again! For there to be a marriage, the two must become one! For the two to become one, there MUST BE a life-giving bridegroom (a man) and there MUST BE a life receiving bride (a woman). There is no life giving bridegroom in the same sex union of two women; neither is there any life receiving bride in the same sex union of two men. Since there cannot be any passing of life in same sex unions, it can never constitute a marriage; no matter how many judges rulings are handed down or what sweeping laws are passed. It is what it is!! Two men cannot produce life between them! Likewise, two women cannot produce life between them. It is physically impossible. Therefore in the eyes of God, same sex marriage is an impossibility since there can be no life giving love.
Again, I must reiterate that it is our sincerest prayer that should anyone from the same sex union community read this article; that the scales be removed from your eyes and the shackle of sin broken so that you can truly come to the full knowledge of the love our Heavenly Father has for you.

What Does Nature Say About Marriage?
Assuming that for argument sake, we leave God and religion completely out of this. Let us look at this purely from the point of view of nature. What does nature have to tell us about same sex unions. Does Mother Nature say that it’s ok? Let’s see. What is the most important law of nature? What is the driving force of nature? The answer is survival of the species isn’t it. Do same sex unions obey or disobey the most basic and fundamental law of nature? Do same sex unions support Mother Nature’s law of survival of the species? The answer to this is quite obviously no! Same sex unions cannot and will not support the law of survival of the species because no life can ever come out of same sex unions. Same sex unions are therefore in itself, opposed to the very basic law of nature. Same sex union is therefore inherently un-natural. The desire of one man for another or one woman for another is inherently un-natural. In fact, to make this even clearer, what do you suppose will happen if all same sex unions were to be placed on a continent by themselves? In a relatively short space of time, there will be no human life whatsoever on that continent!
Again, leaving God and religion completely out of this, what can be seen about how Mother Nature designed the man and woman’s body? It can be clearly seen that nature designed the man’s and woman’s body to complement each other. We can also discern that sex was designed by nature, to be the physical act between a man and a woman and to perpetuate the survival of the human race. Same sex union is an outright transgression of both of these basic laws of nature. In a very real sense, the complimentarily between a man and a woman can be likened to that of nuts and bolts. They were meant to go together. You cannot use a nut where a bolt is needed, nor can you use a bolt where a nut is needed. It will not work. Will you get on board a plane if you knew that some of the nuts and bolts that were holding the wings together were actually nuts and nuts, or bolts and bolts?! You positively will not!! You will want to know if the manufacturers themselves were nuts (pardon the pon)!! But isn’t it the same thing with same sex unions? Isn’t it the same thing that the powers that be are trying to shove down our throats – that it is okay to put a nut where a bolt should be and it is perfectly acceptable to put a bolt where a nut aught to be; and you dare not oppose less you be accused of marginalizing, discrimination or infringing on the “rights” of others?
Again, looking at sex purely from a non-religious point of view, what else stands out and holds to be true? If you really think about it, sex was meant to be part of a life-long commitment between one woman and one man? How can we deduce that? Well, how has the human body reacted to multiple partners? What has the human body undergone as a result of multiple sex partners? The answer is quite simple – a multitude of sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS, Gonorrhea, Syphilis to name just a few, many of which are terminal. To answer that question another way; if there were no pre-marital sex and no extra-marital sex, what would happen? Well within one or two generations, many diseases including the sexually transmitted diseases will be completely eradicated from the face of the earth. This is not a supposition or something made up. It is a fact, and this fact make it quite clear that sex was designed to be a physical act between one man and one woman in a life long commitment. Mother Nature is telling us that she does not like sex outside of marriage.

“It Is None Of Your Business!” – Well So It Has Been Said

When challenged by moral sexual issues, many would tell you that what is done in privacy with another consenting adult is ‘none of your business!’ But is that really true? When my child is being taught that your parents need not be male and female, but can be male and male or female and female, is it really not my business? When I have to pay for the medical expenses of those contracting STDs, is it really none of my business? How you may ask, do I pay for the medical bills? Well the bills of persons contracting sexually transmitted diseases is footed by either insurance companies or by the government. And how does each of these organization deal with the cost of these medical bills? Insurance premiums go up and taxes are increased. So I have to pay more on my insurance premiums and my taxes as a direct result of the lifestyles people choose to live and more specifically same-sex relationships. Do you still think it is none of my business?
I feel the need to repeat that this is not an attack on any group of people, for all of us have been made in the image and likeness of God who has loved all of us to death, death on a cross so that all of us might be saved. It is rather an attack on lies and on deception that can bring about the demise of many of our brothers and sisters who have been deceived and whose eyes have been blinded by the prince of darkness. For St. Paul writes,
“Such by God’s mercy is our ministry, and therefore we do not waver but have renounced all shameful secrecy. It is not our way to be devious, or to falsify the Word of God; instead, in God’s sight we commend ourselves to every human being with a conscience by showing the truth openly.
If our gospel seems to be veiled at all, it is so to those who are on the way to destruction, the unbelievers whose minds have been blinded by the god of this world, so that they cannot see shining the light of the Gospel of the Glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4: 1-4)

What Should Be The Catholic Approach Towards Same Sex Unions..
As a practicing Catholic, a Christian or someone who upholds GOD’S law and Truth, what should our approach be towards those who perpetuate and promote the culture of same sex unions?
Our approach should be the very same as what our approach should be towards sinners – one of great LOVE and COMPASSION. All of us, every single one of us without fail, have sinned and have fallen way. way short of the Glory of GOD (Romans 3: 23). When we understand the price that was paid not for “dem sinners” but rather for “us sinners”, then we know that we know that we must love and show compassion towards those who are lost; “the unbelievers whose minds have been blinded by the god of this world, so that they cannot see shining the light of the Gospel of the Glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
Keep on praying, asking GOD for what you need and praying for those who are not yet on their way to Salvation. Pray against spiritual blindness, that the eyes of all GOD’S children be opened to the truth of HIS immeasurable LOVE and MERCY. Never get tired of staying awake in prayer.
If you are a parent or a guardian, or you have children entrusted to you, then be exceptional guardians and stewards of these precious gifts. Teach them what is right. Teach them about GOD and HIS Love and Mercy that knows no end. Teach them about HIS ONLY SON JESUS who made a way that all might be saved. Teach them to be HOLY. Teach them integrity. Teach them to know the difference between truth and lies. Teach them to hunger for what is right and what is truth. Teach them to hold and obey GOD’S laws high above all others. Teach them LOVE.
