An Appeal To The Unvaccinated By Archbishop Charles Jason Gordon – Get Vaccinated
As our world continues to battle with the Covid-19 pandemic, there is an urgent appeal by governments and other leaders globally to the unvaccinated to get vaccinated. Vaccination will safeguard not only themselves but their loved ones as well. Vaccination will also help to safeguard the economy and re-open economies that have been crippled by covid-19. Vaccination will also help to protect our health care systems.
After today’s celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the Living Water Chapel in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, Archbishop Charles Jason Gordon made a stirring appeal to the unvaccinated to celebrate independence by getting vaccinated.
On Tuesday 31st August, the twin-island state of Trinidad and Tobago will celebrate its 59th anniversary of independence. With a population of approximately 1.2 million, just over 390,000 persons have been fully vaccinated. In an effort to help stop the spread of the deadly disease, the government has implemented a state of emergency, and many businesses remain closed. Many families have been pushed towards poverty with some being evicted from their homes.
