Beyond the Cross: The Apostles’ and Disciples’ Journey
Beyond the Cross, the journey begins
For the apostles and disciples of Him
Their Teacher, their Savior, their Lord
Had been crucified, His body was no more
Their hearts were heavy, their souls in despair
What would happen next, they did not dare
To hope for a future, without their King
Whose death on the cross was everything
But then, on the third day, a miracle occurred
The stone was rolled away, the tomb was blurred
Jesus had risen, He was alive
The news spread quickly, it gave them a drive
They ran to the tomb, they saw with their eyes
The linen cloths, the stone, the surprise
Their doubts were shattered, their faith was reborn
Their Lord had risen, their hope was restored
For forty days, Jesus appeared
To the apostles and disciples, their fears disappeared
He taught them, He ate with them, He showed them the way
To spread His message, to live every day
The journey was not easy, there were trials and tests
But they held on to their faith, they did their best
To follow Jesus, to walk in His light
To share His love, to spread His might
They traveled far, they preached the Word
To every nation, to every herd
They faced persecution, they faced pain
But they knew that Jesus would come again
Beyond the Cross, their journey continued
Through generations, their faith renewed
For Jesus’ love, for His sacrifice
They would spread His message, they would pay the price
Their thoughts and feelings, beyond the Cross
Were transformed by Jesus, at any cost
Their faith was strengthened, their hope secure
For in Him, they found a love so pure.
