Where does the soul come from?
Have you ever wondered where does the human soul come from? Does it come from our parents?
While we do inherit most of our characteristics from our earthly parents, the soul is not one of them. The spiritual soul does not come from our parents, but it is created by God at the point when we were conceived in our mother’s womb.
Unlike the rest of our humanness that develops in our mother’s womb over time, our hands, our feet, our features etc, the human soul is created immediately by God at the moment of conception. It does not perish at the moment when it is separated from the body in death and it will once again be reunited with the body at the moment of final resurrection.
