Who are the main witnesses of the obedience of faith in the Sacred Scripture?
There are many but two really stand out: The first is Abraham who, when he was put to the test, “believed God” (Romans 4:3), and was always obedient to God’s call. This is why he was given the title “the father of all who believe” (Romans 4:11). The second person who really stands out as a witness of the obedience of faith is the Virgin Mary who throughout her whole life, embodied perfectly the obedience of faith: “Let it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38)
